Basics on types and functions and the usage in the ESP
High Voltage Direct Current Power Supplies consist of a transformer rectifier set and a control cabinet.
Transformer rectifier sets transform the low voltage of the main power supply into the required high voltage for the electrostatic precipitator and rectify it from alternating to direct current. The electronic components of the transformer rectifier set are mounted in a hermetically sealed tank, filled with isolation liquid.
The hermetically sealing benefits into a long year operation time without any maintenance.
The high voltage control cabinet contains mainly the equipment to control the low voltage power, e.g. the thyristor set, the main contactor, the protection devices and the high voltage spark over controller.
High voltage spark over controllers can be pronounced as voltage, current or power controllers. There are digital and analogue controllers available in stand alone and network solutions.
